Clear braces or “cosmetic braces”are a fantastic option for patients who want a really good orthodontic result but also want to keep the appliance as discreet as possible.
The traditional brackets which many people are familiar with are retained , but are made of a transparent glass instead of a metal. While they are not invisible braces (such an appliance does not exist !) The aesthetics are really good. All orthodontic appliances are visible to some extent including lingual and aligners like Invisalign especially when the attachments for Invisalign and possible elastics for Invisalign are considered.
These brackets are made of a glass and tend to reflect the colour of the patient’s teeth. The aesthetic impact of wearing the brace is minimised.
Clear ceramic braces
These brackets are highly effective at producing the desired treatment result. While the accuracy of aligners has improved to an extent over the last decade, in the vast majority of cases clear braces will achieve a superior result. Clear brackets also will achieve the final desired result in a time which is at least as quick as aligners like Invisalign , and quicker in the majority of cases. Commonly the cost of treatment with clear ceramic braces is also cheaper than with aligners like Invisalign.
Clear cosmetic braces are popular with both adults and teenagers.
